Aftercare for Your Hair Extensions

To keep your extensions looking soft, shiny, and beautiful for as long as possible, we recommend the following care tips:

  • Washing: Wash only when necessary using a gentle, sulphate-free shampoo and conditioner. Always wash in a downward motion to avoid tangling.

  • Drying: Pat gently with a towel and allow to air-dry where possible. If using a blow dryer, keep it on a cool or low heat setting.

  • Styling: Use a heat protectant before applying any heat tools. Limit frequent heat styling to maintain the quality of the hair. Do not exceed 180 degrees with your styling tools.

  • Brushing: Detangle regularly with a wide-tooth comb or extension-friendly brush. Start at the ends and work upwards to prevent breakage.

  • Sleeping: Never sleep with wet extensions. Tie hair into a loose braid or ponytail before bed, ideally with a silk scrunchie or on a silk pillowcase to minimise friction.

  • Products: Choose lightweight, alcohol-free products. A small amount of leave-in conditioner or serum can help keep hair smooth and hydrated.

  • Swimming: Chlorine and salt water can damage the hair. If swimming, we recommend rinsing your hair and applying a mask or leave-in conditioner, tying your hair up or braiding it prior to swimming, and rinsing immediately afterwards.

With the right care, your extensions will remain in excellent condition, giving you longer-lasting wear and a natural look.
